The weight adjusting works great and the handle is comfortable. Everything clicks in place firmly. Little downside is the small clanging sound that you can hear from the product during training. This doesn’t slow you down really, it just might irritate or wake up those close by.
I have the Nuobell 550 and I am in love with these dumbbells. They are amazing and compare to other brands, these are compact and are the closest to regular dumbbells. I bought the expansion kit, just in case I ever get strong enough. With all the stuff going on with Tariffs, and possible price change and also availability, i thought it best to buy the expansion kit. I rather have it and not need it, than the other way around.
Very well constructed: durable, smooth, easy to use. Best piece of equipment to add to your personal gym.
Beautiful aesthetic and well thought out design. Assembly only took a couple minutes total for both sets to be completed.
I used them for the first time today and I was really happy with the balance and ease of use. I will say that it is taking somewhat of a new level of trust having them over my face for bench press exercises. I’m not sure how the plates stay together at all angles but they do exactly what they are intended to do and it’s really cool.
If you’re short on space or on a budget and want a full set of dumbbells. This has to be the way to go.
$1,000 for 5-100lbs dumbbells is a steal. Way better than $4k+ for a full set of traditional dumbbells.
I bought the dumbbell stand and wasn’t able to use it since the 5100 is a larger product than the 580s. Luckily NUO already has a solution and my adapter is on the way. Looking forward to even more ease of use once that arrives.

Solid dumbbells, everyone is busy overhyping the peppins. I don't know when everyone's grip strength turned to shit but these are way better and all you have to do is not drop them. Quick and easy way to change weights and no cage? Perfect. I wish the cradle was all metal with PEX to protect the weights, if I'm spending $1000 I wish they stepped the quality of that up. Overall, however the best dumbbells on the market for anyone who doesnt need to slam their dumbbells on the ground because theyre ego lifting in their home gym for their cat.

Overall brilliant, very happy with the Nüobells. I find myself working out more than I used to because they are such a joy to use.
A lot of ink has been spilled on the fragility of nuobells in the past which I think is overstated and not a major issue. However, one small annoyance I have found is that the inner increment plates are not circular. This means the dumbbells can have a very uneven weight distribution, especially on the 6kg, 8kg, 14kg and 16kg settings, which becomes very annoying when doing any exercises that involve rotating the dumbbells, like curls.
Friend of mine recommended these to me, and man am I happy. Very solid feel and very smooth transition from weight to weight.
I had high expectations with the price tag and these dumbells delivered. Took me all of ten minutes to get these set up. Very pleased with the quality, the grip is really nice and the adjusting mechanism is extremley smooth. Have already reccomended to a few friends.

I bought these after a lot of research. They are perfect for what I need since I travel and live in apartments. They have so far stood up to all my exercises with zero issues and have been a breeze to assemble and adjust.
I use these dumbbells at a boutique "commercial" gym so there is some wear n' tear after a number of years of use. A half weight has fallen off twice now (due to improper db placement back into the holder) and I have had a new one shipped out within a few days each time. Very impressed.

Having owned the Nuobell 580's previously, I recently upgraded to the Nuobell S 5100 and am thoroughly impressed with the improvements. The absence of side rails gives them the authentic feel of traditional dumbbells, which I greatly appreciate during workouts. The 5-pound increment adjustments are perfect for progressive training, and they offer better value per pound compared to the Rep x Pepin FAST Series. Most importantly, the Nuobell S 5100 has a superior look and feel in hand, making them my preferred choice for adjustable dumbbells. Received them 3-4 days after ordering them so great service also!
